General Prosecutor's Office Brought Criminal Case Against Officials of "Energoatom"

The General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine brought a criminal case against officials of "Energoatom" NJSC on the fact of double payment for the supply of steam generators to Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. Director of the department for supervision of the observance of economic law of the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine Lilia Mykolayenko said it in an interview to journalists. Energoatom is Ukraine's state-run nuclear power monopoly.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, in line with preliminary data, the damages caused by this transaction made UAH 52 million. As L.Mykolayenoo underlined, the given crime was committed in 1998.

UNIAN reference. In August of the current year the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine brought a criminal case against several former directors of "Energoatom" National joint-stock energy generating company, who worked in the company during 1999-2001.
